Belle Chasse is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. On the Mississippi River’s western bank, Belle Chasse is Plaquemine Parish’s largest community. The name Belle Chasse means “beautiful hunting” in French.
Belle Chasse sponsors the famous Crawfish Fest, Gamers’ Fest, and Orange Fest. The community is also home to Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans.
