Hammond

The city of Hammond is the parish seat of Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. It is located about 50 miles northwest of New Orleans.

Hammond is home to Southeastern Louisiana University and hosts the annual Strawberry Festival each spring. The area’s African, French, and Spanish ancestry influences are well-preserved in the area’s architecture, food, festivals, music, and lifestyles. Hammond is also home to museums of history and fine arts.
