Ponchatoula is a small city located in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. It is known as the “Strawberry Capital of the World” because of the large strawberries grown in the area.
The city hosts the annual Louisiana Strawberry Festival each spring, which features live music, parade, food, games, and more. Ponchatoula is also home to the Tangipahoa African American Heritage Museum and the Ponchatoula Area Historical Association.
